Windows Based versions of MYOB®
MYOB® has 2 streams of Windows based programs. Both are referred to as AccountRight®:

• 'Classic' MYOB®
  The stream that MYOB® users have used for up to 25 years, and MYOB Australia now refer to this as 'Classic' MYOB®. This stream is desktop only, and the current version number is v19.16 (19.sixteen). This stream of AccountRight is referred to by existing MYOB® users as the 'good' version. Classic MYOB® company files have a .myo extension.


• MYOB® Live
  The new stream MYOB Australia released in 2011, which is for desktop or cloud. MYOB Australia sometimes refer to this as MYOB® Live or simply AR2024. This is the only version available to new users, and MYOB Australia is desperately trying to get every existing Classic user to upgrade to this version instead. The current version number is AR2024. Live MYOB® company files have a .myox extension.

'It's all about the Version Number'
Whether our tax tables will work with your version or not, all depends on the version number (not the name 'AccountRight'). If your version number is v19.16 (19.sixteen) or below, your version is supported. If your version number starts with 20, it is not.

'How to check my version'
Open your company file in MYOB®, then look under Help > About AccountRight.

All good if your screen looks like this:


The relevant version number is called the Australia Release Version. Our tax tables will work with any version that shows 'Australia Release Version 19.16' (that's thirteen) or below on the Help About screen. In this example the Australia Release Version is v19.11. (ignore numbers after 2nd dot). Our tax tables will work with Australia Release Versions ranging from v10.0 to 19.16 (that's thirteen). The more common versions currently being used are v19.0, v19.5, v19.6, v19.7, v19.8, v19.9, v19.10, v19.11, v19.12, v19.13, v19.14, v19.15 and v19.16.

Not so good however if your screen looks like this:


This is version 2016.2 (ignore numbers after 2nd dot) - also known as AR2016. There is no mention of 'Australia Release Version'. This version if from MYOB's Live stream and uses .myox files. Even if you do not use your file online, if you have MYOB software from this stream - our tax tables will NOT work. Common version numbers are 2012.4, 2013.5, 2014.3, 2015.4 and 2016.3

'What about Mac Versions?'
Our tax tables will work with all currently available versions of AccountEdge® to AE Pro or NE v15.0.
