• have Items in your company file you no longer use?

Removing Items from a .myox file is quite different to removing Items from an .myo file. Our FGH Items Remover currently only works on the Classic range (v19.16 and prior).

We have recently developed a process for .myox files similar to that used by our Items Remover program. This involves creating a new Replacement Item, selecting the Items to be deleted, replacing all references to these Items with the Replacement Item, and then deleting all the unwanted Items.

So we can now delete Items from your .myox file. This process is offered as a service we perform, rather than as a tool you can download and use.

To have Items removed from your AR201X (eg AR2014 or AR2024) .myox company file, simply upload your file and send (via email) a spreadsheet with a list of Items that you want deleted. The List should include as a minimum the Item Number and the Item Name - we suggest you do an Item export, then open the file in excel and remove all Items you want to retain from the spreadsheet. The emailed spreadsheet should contain those Items you want to delete. In most cases your file will be back the same day.

Please note that only Items that have a nil count and nil value can be deleted - you may need to process an Inventory Adjustment Journal if any Item you want to delete shows a count or a value (other than zero) in an Inventory Value Reconciliation report.
