Tax Tables for v19.14 to v19.16

Users of v19.0, v19.5, v19.6, v19.7, v19.8, v19.9
v19.10, v19.11, v19.12, v19.13 are not affected

We commenced selling tax tables for versions 19.14 and later in June 2018, faciliated by the use of our FGH Tax Table Assistant 2019.

MYOB took exception to what our Assistant was doing, that is getting around various new checks MYOB added specifically to stop our tax tables. They allege users using our Assistant were in breach of their licence agreement with MYOB as the Assistant 'interferred' with the normal operation of MYOB®. We decided to withdraw the FGH Tax Table Assistant for v19.14 to v19.16.

A company file is interchangeable between v19.13, v19.14, v19.15 and v19.16. Additionally the only substantive difference between these 4 versions is inbuilt support for Working Holiday Makers (WHM - employees on working visas).

v19.14 to v19.16 have inbuilt support for WHM, where as in v19.13 you need to use the Withholding Variation approach.

  • Download v19.13 from link below
  • Install v19.13
  • Make a copy of the entire MYOB® folder, and give copy a clear name for example C:\PlusClassicv19_13, and create desktop shortcut 'MYOB v19.13' to myob.exe
  • Uninstall v19.13 (note copy remains in place).
  • Install v19.14 to v19.16

  • When doing anything payroll related open the company file via MYOB v19.13 icon.
  • For all other functions, run and use MYOB via the v19.14 to v19.16 shortcut.

Option C Option C

At this stage the are no other legal options to use our tax tables with v19.14 to v19.16.

Some users have successfully modified the code to remove the additional tax table checks - note that modifying the code is likely to breach your licence agreement with MYOB - unless you are doing it to fix the tax table bug.

Try creating a new file and create a new payroll category. MYOB® won't allow you to use payroll because it will not load any tax tables due to a bug - a bug MYOB themselves will not fix. The Copyright Act allows you to fix it.

Note this is not legal advice, please check with your legal adviser before modifying any code.
